science is fun!

As a kid, I loved the Liberty Science Center (Jersey City, NJ). So I thought it would be fun to visit the Great Lakes Science Center! Plus, it’s right across the street from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, so you can kill two birds with one stone.

I didn’t get to see any of the special exhibits or OMNIMAX films (extra fee) because I had just come from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and only had two hours left to roam around. I got to the science center at around 3 pm on a Friday. Now, I realize a lot of you won’t be able to come during this time due to jobs and/or other adult responsibilities, but since I was on vacation, I was able to. I had the pleasure of exploring the place SANS KIDS. That is not to say that I don’t like children because I actually kind of do, to some extent. But it was very nice to be able to play around with all of the science experiments (if that’s what they call them here) uninterrupted.

Good to know:

-They close at 5 but you should check their site for any seasonal hours.

-Tickets as of October 2015 cost $15. If you have a valid student ID, you can get $1 off. It’s not much but it’s still something right? Good thing I still kind of look young and my student ID doesn’t have an expiration date on it!

-There’s a parking garage for $8 but if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to nab street parking.
