I’m thinking by now, you’ve already figured out what 90s television sitcom those lyrics are from. If you were a 90s kid like me, you probably grew up watching Full House. It was one of my favorite shows, and the highlight to TGIF (remember that?!). Anyway, there’s this one scene within the opening credits where the camera pans over to this aerial view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Of course as a kid, it was just some mystical bridge somewhere in California somewhere, and the thought had never even crossed my mind that I could one day visit that bridge. After 28 years of existence, I finally got to see that bridge in person and it was everything I thought it would be.

I got to walk across all 1.7 miles of it. Since Percila and I were too tired to do the roundtrip, we did what any millennial would do. We took an Uber to the other side (which by the way, Ubers/Lyfts are super cheap there – $5 will get you an Uber Pool or Lyft Line all the way across town) and then walked back to San Francisco. It was extremely windy though, which was something that I was not expecting.

Can’t be a true tourist without doing a jumping shot!

I hope to return one day for a helicopter ride over the bridge, you know – the complete Full House experience.
