how to be a traveler in positano (6 things to do)

1. Take the ferry

We took a boat over from Sorrento, where we were staying and it only took about half an hour. If boats aren’t your thing, you can always take the bus, which is what we took on the way back

2. Sunbathe at Spiaggia Grande

Or just take some pictures of the beautiful view. If you are taking the ferry over, this is where the boat docks so you’ll be passing by it anyway

Announcing our pregnancy @ 3 months!

3. Visit Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta

This is the main church of the town. It’s hard to miss as you’ll recognize it by the dome with the colorful tiles

4. Hike along the Costiera Amalfitana Positano

This is where you’ll get amazing views of the coast and the beach. Some of it is even shaded, which makes for a really nice walk, which is all paved

5. Eat some lemon sorbet at Collina Bakery

It’s not the giant Amalfi lemons, but the sorbet is still served in a regular lemon and is nice and refreshing on a hot day

6. Go shopping

You’ll find lots of ceramics, paintings, souvenirs, and even custom-made shoes

The other thing I wish we could have done was rent a vespa and just explore the island. You need some kind of transportation if you want to go beyond just the town. However, I was three months pregnant at the time and I just didn’t want to take any chances! We still got to do everything we wanted to do in Positano but it would have been nice to see the less frequented spots.
