hiking bear mountain

If you’re expecting to see bears during your hike, you’ll be very disappointed. Or maybe you’ll be  very relieved. Some people say it’s named as such because it resembles a sleeping bear. While it’s unclear exactly why this mountain was named as it was, what is clear is that you will definitely get some breathtaking views. On a clear day, you’ll even see the New York City skyline. Which makes sense, being that this park is only about an hour drive from Manhattan.
